JERUSALEM, June 22 (Xinhua) -- On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, Yogis practice next to the Sea of Galilee in Israel.
Yoga has been practiced in its original form for thousands of years before various gurus brought Yoga to the West from India in the 1950s and 1960s.
The United Nations (UN) declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga in 2014, to raise public awareness about its benefits.
