Formerly homeless, now best-selling author Frank McKinney was in Birmingham on Monday, April 3, as part of a 25-city tour of the country that has seen him spreading inspiring hope among the homeless population in each community.
Here in Birmingham, Frank met with and spoke to individuals at Jimmy Hale Mission, sharing gift cards and donations while reminding those that needed to hear it that they can overcome this - the ultimate adversity of homelessness.
Frank also made a donation to the organization itself, to further its mission to support the growing number of unhoused area community members.
Frank's latest book that is sweeping the nation, 'Adversitology,' is based on his recent battle with Leukemia, and the formula for overcoming adversity that it established for him.
This formula is applicable to any of life's challenges, which is why Frank is currently touring America to share it with the country's most vulnerable population.
100% of proceeds from Adversitology go towards the Caring House Project, which Frank founded in 2003 and through which he has built 30 self-sustaining villages in Haiti.
The sale of each book provides roughly 100 meals for the children living in a Haiti village Frank's Caring House Project has built.
